2021 Goals: Hope

Focus became the theme of 2020 for me as I dug my heels in and prioritized my life. This included becoming Certified in OSINT and a Certified SOCMINT Analyst, hitting 13,000+ investigative hours, all while wrapping up a graphic novel script (that is scheduled to be published in 2021).

Not that 2020 wasn’t without its challenges. I’ve been busy with nonstop work in my duties as an investigative intelligence analyst and data analyst. This ultimately led me to dwindling down the majority of my social media platform, for which I am thankful. Much more focused.

Due to lockdowns, I had to delay testing for a black belt in Kenpo to 2021. However, I did discover a love for the show, Leverage, as well as continued to advance in guitar. If anything, 2020 was the year I became a lot more focused on goals, purpose, and time. Also, did I mention how amazing games like Hades, Animal Crossing, and Ghost of Tsushima were? Not to mention Dead Cells, Ori, and I finally picked up a copy of Mario Kart. But I struck out on locating an Xbox Series X or PS5. I really wanted that Xbox…

For 2021, my theme is hope. I have a full slate of training (certifications, licenses, etc.) to obtain, workshops to teach, governing boards to be on, and a black belt to earn. Additionally, I plan on making it to the intermediate level on guitar, some big family level changes, and maybe a move or two. And that’s just on the onset.

Writing goals are also rock solid: finishing a novel manuscript, a new manga script, and two books. My manga from 2020 is set to be published in 2021, and I may be doing some website updating.

My verse for the year is set:

“But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭4:5‬.

“Fulfill your ministry” just leaps out of the page at me. I love it. Complete your purpose. Continue pressing, onward and upward. Don’t give up and don’t give in. Hope, Faith, Love – three things to cling to as we ring in the new year.
